Beginners to Champions (and Beyond) is the theme for this year’s Congress with lifelong participation in judo being the thread which will run through the programme of keynote presentations and workshops. We can promise an interesting, varied and thought provoking programme which will cater for the expected broad range of delegates who will attend.

Japanese judo legend Kosei Inoue will be our honoured guest at the Congress. He will be demonstrating his exceptional judo skills and chatting about his life in judo. George Kerr (9th Dan) will also talk about his life in judo: starting from his early life in Edinburgh; training in Japan; his many years as an international competitor and as the coach of double Olympic Champion Peter Seisenbacher.

Not to be missed is the Congress Dinner where there is great opportunity to network with colleagues in the bar after the day’s presentations.

The Annual General Meeting will be held on the afternoon of Sunday 15th November 2009 commencing at 1.45pm with registration from 1.00pm. The meeting agenda and relevant documentation will be circulated to member Clubs at the appropriate time.
