More than 50 visually impaired
players from across the World, including Paralympic, World and
European medallists, will attend an International Training Camp
hosted by British Judo.
The high quality camp
will be held at the British Judo Performance Institute in Dartford
from the 22nd -26th November.
With eleven nations already
confirmed, including USA, Sweden, Turkey, Algeria, Greece, Canada,
Germany, France, Finland, Ukraine and Holland, the camp is set
to be the biggest judo training camp for visually impaired judoka
to ever be held in Great Britain.
Britain’s full VI squad
will be present, including 2010 World Medallist’s Sam Ingram,
Joe Ingram, Lesley Reid and current World Champion Ben Quilter,
as well as members of the British sighted squad.
Judo players are invited
to attend and train alongside these World class players for the
high quality Randori sessions (minimum grade 1 st Kyu).
Leading the camp will be
Head Paralympic Performance Coach, Jean-Paul Bell.
