Potential rule changes from 1st January 2010

Please click the link below to show POTENTIAL IJF/EJU rule changes from 1st January 2010.

Potential IJF Rule Changes

These rule changes have been trialled at the 2009 Junior World Championships in Paris and are continuing to be trialled at many events during November and December. IF the new rules are accepted by the IJF/EJU after the Tokyo Grand Slam (December 11th – 13th 2009) then the rules will be used at the 2010 British Trials held on the 9th (U20) and 10th (Senior) January at EIS, Sheffield.

We appreciate that it would be extremely short notice to notify all competitors of the rule changes after the Tokyo Grand Slam and so we are providing this communication to allow competitors to prepare for the 2010 British Trials accordingly.

After consultation with the National Refereeing Commission and BJA Performance Directorate it is considered extremely likely that these rules will be accepted.

Please note: The Refereeing System will not be changed at BJA events, three Referees will continue to operate per mat.
