The second and final day
of the 2011 British Championships produced another day of first-class
judo as our most talented young judoka battled for the coveted
national title.
The pre cadet girls, junior
men and junior women judoka saw action on Sunday as 21 British
Champions were crowned.
In the pre cadet girls
category gold medals went to Courtney Shoulder (-32kg), Laura
Hewitt (-36kg), Rachael Hill (-40kg), Stephanie Rodden (-44kg),
Kymran Shergill (-48kg), Shelley Ludford (-52kg), Acelya Toprak
(-57kg), Sophie Roots (-63kg) and Storm Imrie (+63kg).
In the junior women section
British Championship titles went to Hayley Willis (-48kg), Freya
Dechastelain (-52kg), Lucy Renshall (-57kg), Jemima Duxberry (-63kg),
Amy Livesey (-70kg), Hannah Lewis (-78kg) and Jodie Myers (+78kg).
In the junior men section
gold medals went to Austin Jones (-55kg), Lucas Rowe (-60kg),
Kyle Sweet (-66kg), Ramone Alexander (-73kg), Conall McGregor
(-81kg), Samuel Potts (-90kg), Darren May (-100kg) and Joshua
Burns (+100kg).
