This is an exciting opportunity
to make a significant contribution to the NSPCC ’s innovative
work in protecting children. The Child Protection in Sport Unit
(CPSU) together with the Sport England is working with sports
organisations to safeguard children
Development Officer,
Sport Unlimited
(35 Hours per week,
Temp Maternity Cover, for at least 6 Months) (MW02027)
As part of the national
agenda to increase opportunities for young people to participate
in out of school activities the CPSU is working with Sport England
to establish effective safeguarding practices in those organisations
providing activities.
Resource development is
also an essential part of this role.
Training &
Development Consultant (Designated Persons)
(Part time 17.5
Hours per week, Fixed Term to March 2010) (MW02028)
Developing, delivering
and supporting the Time to Listen Training Programme for Designated
Persons for sports organisations and developing and implementing
further support and continuous professional development opportunities
for designated persons for Safeguarding in Sport..
Both roles
require relevant professional qualification, direct experience
of safeguarding work, up to date knowledge of law, practice and
policy issues. This must be combined with experience of training
delivery, analytical and planning skills and the ability to work
collaboratively with others
The post is based at the
NSPCC National Training Centre in Leicester .
