Judo Development Coach
(Main
area of work to Coach and develop judo in the Sunderland and South
Tyneside
area - in partnership with Sunderland AFC Foundation)
Salary £16-18K per annum plus benefits
(Fixed term 12 months - possible extension subject to continued
funding)
The British Judo Association is the National Governing Body for
the Olympic Sport of
Judo in Great Britain.
As part of the British Judo Association’s targets of increasing
its participation by 20,000 and reducing
the drop off by a minimum 5% year on year we are seeking to recruit
a Community Development
Coach for Sunderland and South Tyneside. This position will work
in partnership with Sunderland AFC
Foundation, which is a registered charity delivering a range of
sporting, social, educational and healthy
lifestyle opportunities across the region. They believe passionately
in the positive impact the sport can
play in engaging young people and supporting their personal development.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Coach with
good knowledge and experience of
Coaching in education environments and a sound knowledge of club
structure.
The role requires daytime and some evening work as your remit
will be to deliver a range of high
quality Judo opportunities that are progressive and reflective
of the needs of the young people in the
community.The successful candidate should have:
- British Judo Association - UKCC Level 2 Coaching Qualification.
- A First Aid Qualification
- Good Practice and Child Protection Training and current CRB
