England ExCell South East test mettle at BJPI open randori session

The England ExCell South East parties of Redbridge, Pinewood and Tonbridge descended on the BJPI on Wednesday 27 October to take part in an open randori session.

The inclusion of the England players come about after the successful trial session in July and again featured emerging players from the Midland area and South West.

Over 130 players and coaches were in attendance as GB Head Coach Patrick Roux and Performance Coach Jane Bridge led the action on the mat.

England ExCell Co-ordinator Matt Divall said: “There was a diverse field of players taking part, from pre cadet to senior GB judoka such as Gemma Howell, Faith Pitman, Gemma Gibbons, Ashley McKenzie and Colin Oates.

“We expect the next session to take place in February but will confirm the details closer to the time.”
