Background
Greenhouse provides sport
and performing arts for young people in state secondary schools
and community clubs in deprived areas. We target young people
who may not otherwise have access to these opportunities, enabling
them to develop positive life skills.
Following the success
of our existing sports programmes at Ernest Bevin Sports College
in Tooting, Greenhouse has formed an exciting new partnership
with the college and the British Judo Association resulting in
a new Judo programme that follows the Greenhouse full time engagement
model being introduced initially as 1 year pilot scheme. Therefore
we are seeking to recruit a qualified skilled head Judo coach
to start work at the college.
The role
Based full time at Ernest
Bevin Sports College, you will be both a role model & mentor
to pupils where you will plan, manage & deliver a fully inclusive
programme of Judo coaching to all pupils in the college. The programme
will be extra curricular focused, but may include some limited
work alongside the PE department with year 7 & 8 pupils from
time to time, this may also include 1:1 coaching & mentoring.
Predominately you will establish breakfast, lunch time and afterschool
clubs and develop regular competitive opportunities for all players.
You will also develop holiday programmes & camps during all
3 half terms, the Easter holidays and during the school summer
holidays. You will be expected to establish close working relationships
with local community clubs so that opportunities for players to
join local clubs becomes a fundamental part of the programme.
All Greenhouse staff are provided with comprehensive Continuous
Professional Development support & are expected to commit
fully to Greenhouses Safeguarding Children and Equalities Policies.
