Nottinghamshire Judo launch JUST DO JUDO campaign

Interested in trying a new sport? Then why not take up the opportunity to get into the Olympic sport of judo.

A new campaign to give people the chance to take part in the sport is being launched in Nottinghamshire.

The ‘JUST DO JUDO’ campaign is aimed at both beginners and people returning to judo and welcomes anyone over the age of 16.

There are four clubs in Nottinghamshire running sessions throughout September and October. The weekly one hour group sessions are just £15 for 5 weeks.

Terri Elliott, BJA Regional Officer, highlighted the benefits of getting involved in the programme:

"Judo clubs in Nottinghamshire are very friendly and welcoming, because of the people involved and the sport provides a great opportunity to get fit, learn new skills and become part of the Judo Community”

"The clubs will welcome men and women of all abilities and fitness levels, so there has never been a better time to take up judo!”

The list of clubs taking part, their contact details and the days the courses are running are as follows:

Cobra Judo Club (Paul Keeton– 07973 630 058) Monday from 7:30pm at Harvery Hadden Sports Centre (City)
