London 2012 seeks volunteer performers for the biggest show on earth

Think you could perform in front of an audience of one billion people around the world? The search is on for volunteer performers within the Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Artistic Directors, Danny Boyle and Kim Gavin are searching for 10,000 volunteer performers to fill roles as general all-round performers in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies respectively. To be eligible you must be aged 18 years or older on 1 March 2012 and able to meet the commitments for rehearsals.

So if you have rhythm, can drum, or do any sport or hobby that involves keeping to time – sign up now for this once in a lifetime opportunity!

Previous performance experience is not required, just enthusiasm to perform in front of a stadium audience and to millions of people around the world!

The Olympic Opening ceremony takes place on Friday 27 July 2012 while the Closing Ceremony takes place on Saturday 12 August.
