One of the British Judo
Trust’s annual fundraising activities is a themed fundraising
month for judo clubs.
Make sure your club doesn’t
miss out on May Madness 2010 for the opportunity to raise money
for the
British Judo Trust and
your club all at the same time!
The British Judo Trust
makes this fundraising initiative as easy as possible for clubs
to run, raising money for the Trust and the club at the same time!
As soon as you decide that you would like to raise extra funds
for your club and help the Trust, we will provide you with everything
you will need, so it won’t take up a lot of your valuable time.
So any club that organises
a fundraising day or activity as part May Madness 2010 will keep
50% of the total amount of money raised by their club. The other
half of the money raised will go to the British Judo Trust, to
the benefit of the sport across the UK as a whole.
In 2009, May Madness
raised just over £5000, and this year we want to double it, but
we need your support! Some of the sponsored events included:
Sponsored throws
Superstars event
Sponsored fun runs
Fun Days
Fight Nights
Judo Taster Evenings
What will your Club choose to do this
year? Getting involved is really straight forward – the process
is as follows:
- Send an email to info@britishjudotrust.org.uk
to register your interest and to request a fundraising pack
or contact Emma Davies-Carolan on 01509 631693
- Once you receive your pack, use the information enclosed
to help you decide on a fundraising activity, a date and a location
- Use the templates provided in the pack to promote your fundraising
activity within your Club, in your local area and on the British
Judo Trust website
- Have fun whilst raising money for your Club and for judo
in the UK!
Extra Incentives!
As an incentive for clubs
to get involved, we are offering a VIP box at the 2010 GB Women’s
Judo World Cup to the club that raises the most money (terms and
conditions will apply), to the second highest fundraising club,
the Chairman of the British Judo Association Densign White will
take a club session (terms and conditions will apply).
Will it be your club
that challenges reigning May Madness winners Holbrook Judo Club
for the special prize?
