East Regional Development Officer
Salary

The British Judo Association
is the National Governing Body for the Olympic Sport of Judo in
Great Britain.
As part of the British
Judo Association’s targets of increasing its adult participation
by 20,000 and reducing the drop off by a minimum 5% year on year
we are seeking to recruit a team of highly motivated and experienced
people.
To be part of this team
you will be required to deliver the British Judo Association’s
2009-2013 Strategic 4 year plan at a Regional Level, evaluating
the needs of that region, developing relationships from club level
through to Area Management Committee and working with key external
partners.
To do this you will need
to demonstrate a sound knowledge of, and experience in, sport
development at local and regional levels and engagement and motivation
of volunteers. You will also need the ability to engage and develop
strong partnerships internally and externally and capability to
develop plans and deliver these against agreed targets and to
monitor and evaluate the outcomes.
In addition to the regional
responsibilities we are seeking candidates that can also take
a National Co-ordination role in one of the following targeted
areas:
Development of Women and
Girl’s Sport
Delivery of Equality Programmes
(2 co-ordinator roles covering one or more of the following specific
areas): Visually Impaired / Special Needs / Disability Sport
FE / HE Sports Development
links to BUCS
Volunteer Development
Personal Safety / Self
Defence (Judo Specific)
A degree or professional
qualification in a sports related discipline will be desirable.
The ability to communicate at a high level, both orally and in
writing and the ability to deliver against agreed targets is essential.
Computer literacy and current driving licence are essential.
