The London Organising Committee
of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) need to recruit
National Technical Officials (NTO) to officiate the field of play
and athlete areas during the judo event. In broad terms NTOs will
apply the rules or have a role in judging the competition e.g.
timing and scoring.
NTOs are appointed by LOCOG
in consultation with the British Judo Association and the International
Judo Federation. The recruitment and selection process will be
transparent, open and fair.
Should you be selected
as an NTO, you will be at the heart of the judo event, representing
the UK and providing services that are important to the athlete
experience. Being an NTO will give you the opportunity to be an
integral part of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
which will be a truly memorable, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
for members of the Judo community.

Key knowledge,
experience and qualifications required:

Current IJF referee
B or above

Current National
A referee or above

Current Senior recorder
or above

Experience of International
events i.e. World cups, Grand Prix, Grand slams, Europeans
and Worlds

4 February – Closing date for applications
February - March 2011 -
Interview short listed candidates.
April 2011 - Offer positions
(conditional on test event and continued activity).
December 2011 – Judo test
event.
April 2012 - Distribution
of uniforms and accreditation passes commences.
June 2012 - Venue training
begins.
