a coach or improving your existing coaching qualification? If
so we would like to hear from you!
The British Judo Association
is committed to providing opportunities female judoka to move
into coaching and for existing coaches to progress up the coach
education pathway. We believe it is important that we create more
confident female coaches working to their full capacity in clubs
and all other levels of the sport. We believe education is a key
ingredient which will allow us to achieve this.
Over the next few years,
as part of the BJA's ‘Women and Girls Initiative', we are able
to significantly subsidise coach education for appropriately qualified
female judoka with special emphasis on participation in UKCC Level
1, UKCC Level 2 and Instructor Award courses. To start off 2012,
we have a UKCC L1 course for female judoka only, in March 2012.
Future course for UKCC L2 and Instructors Award are in the planning
stages. Dates will be set for additional courses based on the
responses received.
Places are limited on this
first course, and these will be allocated to those who reply first,
providing they meet the criteria – see BJA web for information:
