Regional Technical Officer – West Midlands

An exciting opportunity has been developed through support from Sport England Regional Sports Boards to create, support and implement regional Coach Education and Technical programmes in line with the Associations Coaching and ‘Technical Renaissance’

The Regional Technical Officer will be working closely with strategically identified clubs and coaches to strengthen the technical workforce, giving coaches the opportunity to give their knowledge greater depth. They will be an integral part in the delivery and implementation of the UKCC as well as ensuring that there is a clear pathway established, in line with the BJA’s Long Term Player Pathway and that coaches understand and buy into the process.

Applicants will require having exceptional judo knowledge and technical skills with good coaching experience. The position requires considerable hand on support to the coaches and clubs and will have a high degree of unsocial hours working.

A degree or professional qualification in a sports related discipline will be an advantage. The ability to communicate at a high level, both orally and in writing and the ability to deliver technical workshops and presentations is essential. Computer literacy and current driving licence are essential.

These positions are an integral part of the Association’s Technical Department and future development of our coaching workforce and a package of around £30,000 will be offered to the successful applicants.
