This year’s annual seminar
is being held at the Village Hotel off Junction 10 M6 at
Walsall on 24th and 25th July 2010. It is a joint seminar being
held for both referees and officials to discuss new rule changes
and technical matters. The seminar is open to coaches as well
as players.
Guest speakers from
Holland Mr Henk Plugge – Olympic Referee at Beijing 2008 will
be presenting ‘His Journey To Become An Olympic Referee’ and a
representative from The London Organising Committee of the Olympic
Games (LOCOG) to give an overview of the challenges and
updates the committee have dealt with, as well as how the Volunteer
Application Procedure for the London 2012 is going to be applied.
Technical matters and
updates will be presented by the Technical Officials Commission.
DVD presentations will
cover the new leg grabbing rules and the interpretations of the
rules currently being applied by the EJU and IJF Refereeing Commissions.
On Saturday evening a dinner will be held with entertainment.
