The organisation is a primary driver and funding channel for national
and regional programmes in their field.
Sporting Equals works closely with both the providers of sporting
opportunities (National Governing Bodies, local authorities and
agencies, sports organisations) and the users of sporting opportunities
(community and faith groups, local clubs, charities and individuals).
Current trustees include former BBC Sports Editor Mihr Bose while
one-time Arsenal and West Brom footballer Brendon Batson MBE is
Chair of the organisation.
British Judo Association's Chief Executive Officer Scott McCarthy
said: “Sporting Equals is an emerging organisation with
a very important role to play in shaping British sport in the
future. Densign White is a highly experienced and influential
sports leader and he will be a great addition to an already strong
group of Trustees leading the organisation.”
