Registration is open for
British Judo’s second Women and Girls conference which will take
place on Saturday 26 February across two venues.
The aim of the event is
to bring women and girls together, to explore opportunities which
will contribute to an increase in female participation in all
areas of the sport.
The morning session will
take place at the Village Hotel in Walsall while the afternoon
session will be held at Our Lady and St Chad’s Catholic Sports
College in Wolverhampton.
Over the next four years
the British Judo Association is committed to promoting, developing
and supporting women and girl’s participation in the judo.
British Judo can be justly
proud of the achievements of females in the sport. There are many
excellent female role models both past and present within judo
and it is important to recognise them, celebrate their achievements
and learn from their examples.
After the success of last
year’s event, we are looking forward to another year where female
judoka will come together to share their judo experiences. There
is a wealth of excellent abilities, high achievements and experience
out there. We would like to present this to you in an interactive
way through presentations and mat based sessions.
All Women and Girls involved
in judo over 14 years of age welcome.
