Dartford Judo Club has
become the first British Judo Association member club to be awarded
the Club Recognition Scheme Gold award, the highest honour that
can be bestowed on a BJA club.
The award is testiment
to the dedication and hard work put in by all the members of the
club in promoting judo in the South East.
Commenting on the award
Alan Roberts the Head Coach and Club Chairman said, “Dartford
Judo Club is extremely pleased to achieve the BJA Gold Clubmark
Award, and are proud to be the first judo club to achieve this
level.
"We would encourage
all judo clubs to work towards their Clubmark Accreditation, which
is certainly being seen as a benchmark of quality standard for
all sports clubs, and one which is being recognised more and more
by Councils and Local Authority Sports Centres.
"The Gold Award
means a great deal to our club, having worked hard towards this
accreditation since moving in to our new Centre 12 months ago.”
