Great Britain won a fantastic eleven medals at the 2006 Junior Portugal “A” Tournament, which took place in Coimbra, Portugal on 25-26 March 2006.

There were two golds, won by Marcus Bascombe in the –66kg weight category, and David Groom in the –81kg weight category. It was the first major international gold medal for both.

Aaron Thomas and Stephanie Inglis won silver medals. While the team won seven bronze medals, from JR Badrick, Luke Hughes, Theo Spalding-McIntosh, Lauren Baverstock, Lauren Sinfield, Hannah Sinfield and Sinead Rothwell.
