Leominster gain bronze Clubmark Award

Leominster Judo Club has been presented with the prestigious Sport England Clubmark Bronze Award. One of only four clubs out of the fifty within the West Midlands Area to achieve this award.

Mr Eddie Awford (5 th Dan) BJA Technical Director of Coaching and Mr Malcolm Collins (6 th Dan) Midland Area Development Officer presented the award to club coaches Martin Healey (Chairman) and John Cooper at the Leominster Leisure Centre on the evening of March 1st. On presenting the award Mr Eddie Awford said that Leominster had done remarkably well to achieve it as all other recipients to-date were much larger clubs.

The award was presented in the presence of Leominster players, parents and friends of the club along with guests from Hereford and Ross-on-Wye judo clubs, making it a county affair. Other guests also included the President of the British Schools Judo Association Mr Ken Webber (7 th Dan).
