In a recent BBC programme it was implied that a player was disqualified from a competition due to photographic evidence.

British Judo would like to clarify that at Club, Area and National events photographic or video evidence is never used by referees to penalise a player for technical or prohibited actions.

Any decisions of this nature are ratified by the Referee in Charge and the Competition Controller.
